    Add places on the map and Stopful routes between them — drive time and distance for every leg, split into days.

    Toggle chargers on a leg

    Fast and rapid stations (43 kW and up) near that leg's road appear on the map — colour-coded by charging speed, with the operator, the top speed in kW, and how many stalls.

    Plan around real charging

    Tesla Superchargers are flagged with their own marker and stall counts. Slow destination posts are deliberately left out, so what you see is worth a detour.

    Let the budget know it's an EV

    The Budget tab estimates the energy cost of your drive legs, alongside stays, food and everything else the trip will cost — before you book any of it.

What the charger layer shows

Charger data comes from Open Charge Map, the open community database. Stopful filters it hard on purpose: only stations with a connection of 43 kW or faster (or marked fast-charge capable) make the map, because on a road trip a 7 kW post is a parking space, not a charging stop. Markers are colour-coded by top speed, Tesla Superchargers get their own flag, and busy sites show how many stalls they have.

What Stopful doesn't do — and what to pair it with

Stopful does not simulate your battery. It won't model state of charge, elevation or weather, and it won't pick your charge stops for you — that's the job of a range specialist like A Better Route Planner, and it does it well. The honest split: plan the trip here (stops, nights, hotels near chargers, cost), and if your car's range makes the legs tight, check the charging plan in ABRP. Does Stopful show EV chargers along a route?
Yes. Toggle chargers on any leg of the trip and fast/rapid stations (43 kW and up, from Open Charge Map) near that leg appear on the map, colour-coded by charging speed, with operator, top kW and stall counts. It's free and needs no account.
Does it show Tesla Superchargers?
Yes — Superchargers are detected and flagged with their own marker, including how many stalls the site has.
Does Stopful calculate my EV's range or state of charge?
No. Stopful shows you where the fast chargers are along your route; it does not simulate your battery. For state-of-charge planning use a range specialist like A Better Route Planner, and plan the rest of the trip — stops, hotels, budget — in Stopful.
Can it estimate what charging will cost on the trip?
The Budget tab estimates the fuel or charging cost of your drive legs as one line of the whole-trip estimate — stays, food, activities and fares included. It's a planning range, not a quote.
Why don't I see slow chargers?
By design: stations below 43 kW are filtered out so the map only shows chargers worth stopping at on a driving day. If you need a destination charger at a hotel, check the hotel listing itself.
