The stops

1. Prague· 1 night

Cross Charles Bridge before breakfast, then head south along the Vltava.

2. Český Krumlov· 1 night

A UNESCO town coiled inside a river meander, all painted towers and riverside taverns — best after dark.

3. Telč· en route

Stop two hours for the arcaded Renaissance square, pastel gables mirrored in the fish ponds.

4. Vienna· 2 nights

Schönbrunn, Sachertorte, and a heuriger wine tavern in the hills to toast the finish.

Good to know

Czech and Austrian motorways both require vignettes (digital, buy online). Český Krumlov is mobbed by day-trip buses 10–5; staying the night transforms it. Telč adds under an hour to the direct route and is worth double that.
